Collaborative Spaces in Public Libraries

I was lucky to attend an excellent presentation at this year’s FLA Conference about Orange County’s new Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center for Technology, Innovation & Creativity. The 26,000 square ft area will have a studio for sound, film, and photography along with a 3-D printer. These makerspaces make me absolutely excited for Librarianship, but it will take time for the technology….
